To that I say, it never hurts to meet for a second opinion. The most important thing to me is understanding what's most important to you. My clients are an extension of my family; we will partner together throughout your life to help keep you on track.

I grew up in Nebraska City, NE, 8,000-residents strong (my graduating class was 38). Growing up, money wasn't something we had much of. My parents raised me and my brothers by working as machine operators at a meter manufacturing company. I left for college with the resolve that I would help people make sound financial decisions. I attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, where I graduated with a bachelor's degree in business administration. I also met my lovely wife, Ellen, who grew up in Elgin, IL. After college, we married and moved to Illinois and now have two sons named Blake and Garrett. Shortly after moving here, I earned my MBA, with a finance concentration, from the University of Illinois at Chicago. An opportunity as a financial advisor with Edward Jones followed shortly after. I have achieved the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™, or CFP®, certification as well as the Accredited Asset Management Specialist™, or AAMS™, designation.
