Aloha means harmony, helpfulness, humility and unity. Ohana means family.
I was born in Honolulu, HI to a mom and dad of Hawaiian, Chinese, Japanese and Portuguese decent. Although I spent the majority of my upbringing in Washington State, I was raised with a love and appreciation for my culture and the closeness of family.
Growing up, my dad would tell me that if I didn't save my allowance to pay for the special things that I wanted, then I didn't want them that badly. As I grew older and became independent, his advice remained consistent. If I couldn't pay in cash, I didn't need it, or, I had better learn to save more. Those words would someday lead me to a future in the financial industry.
I began my career with Edward Jones almost 20 years ago. My daughter had just turned 2 and my son was born 8 months later. I am proud to be part of an investment firm that values family and culture as strongly as I do.
As a mom, I have a strong desire and need to lead by example and teach my children the benefits of hard work and discipline, the necessity of maintaining integrity and ability to be thoughtful and kind.
As a financial advisor, I want to make sure that those in my community are served with understanding and care. It is important that my clients are empowered with the knowledge and strategies required to help reach their financial goals. I'm specifically passionate about working in partnership to get clients to and through retirement as well as preparing them to leave a lasting legacy in the most efficient manner. Additionally, I enjoy giving back to the firm through various volunteer leadership roles and opportunities to mentor others. I also strive to bring awareness to and support diversity and inclusion.
My senior branch office administrator, Shannon Cass, has been with Edward Jones for over 17 years, and our second branch office administrator, Debbi Carter, joined our team in January 2020.
Together, we look forward to serving our community along with their families and loved ones. We embrace the opportunity to grow our "Ohana".
