During my nearly 20 years as a financial advisor, my most frequently asked question has been, “How much money is enough to retire?” followed closely by “Why should I hire a financial advisor?” Effectively answering the first question nearly always leads to answering the second.
I spent the first half of my work life as a manufacturing engineer in the automotive industry, creating solutions to problems based on the needs of the customer. Applying principles of engineering to my role as a financial advisor, more listening and less talking, gives me a better understanding of your unique goals and concerns.
Working for Edward Jones gives me access to the expertise of our analysts and other seasoned professionals. Our office uses advanced technology and resources to help you reach your long-term financial goals. I also partner closely with your CPA, attorney and other professionals to help you determine the most appropriate financial strategy for you and your family.
Whether you are planning for retirement, saving for your children or grandchildren’s college education, or trying to protect the financial future of your loved ones, we can work together to develop specific strategies to achieve your goals. Throughout our partnership, I’ll continue to listen and ask questions, monitoring your progress to help you keep on track, making adjustments as your life events bring change.
On a personal note, I’m a Kansas native living in western Shawnee. My wife, Marcy, and I have raised four children, two boys and twin girls. Both boys are college graduates and have begun careers in nursing and accounting. Our girls are students at K-State. Family is everything to me. Building long-term relationships with my clients and helping them remain financially secure through each life stage gives me great satisfaction.
If you’ve been wondering how much money is enough to retire, give me a call.
