I am originally from Boston and lived on Nantucket and in London before settling in San Diego in 2008. Growing up, my father founded a successful company importing printing ink from Japan. He taught me a lot. Unfortunately, he invested all of his retirement assets in antiques. When it came time for his retirement, the antiques had not appreciated in value and he was so emotionally attached to them that he had a hard time selling anything. Retirement was financially challenging for him, when, with a little preparing for his financial future, he could have lived comfortably. That's what drove me to this career.
Whether your goal is to retire early, educate your children, manage your retirement income or save money through tax advantaged investments, I will use our 5-step process to offer personalized solutions. My skill set as a financial advisor is backed by the expertise of Edward Jones, a firm that has helped individuals with their financial future since 1922.
At Edward Jones, I am a member of the regional leadership team. In the community, I serve on the board of directors of the Adams Avenue Business Association, am a past board member for the popular SoNo Fest fundraiser and am a current member of Forever Balboa Park and the Triathlon Club of San Diego.
Prior to Edward Jones, I spent seven years as director of finance and operations for a government services consulting company and associated software startup. I earned my master's degree in business administration from the Bayes Business School in London, I received executive education on campus at the Harvard Business School, and I earned the CRPC™ professional designation from the College for Financial Planning.
My Branch Office Administrator, William Hay, is a graduate of Northern Arizona University and has a background in customer service honed in the mortgage business.
My wife, Caroline, and I live on a canyon in North Park with our 9-year-old son, 7-year-old daughter and an ageless rescue dog named Keith.
