I chose to become a financial advisor with Edward Jones because I'm passionate about helping others achieve their financial goals. Growing up, our family often relocated for work, so we never seemed to have enough money. From an early age, my parents taught us the importance of managing our money. The reality of our financial situation became apparent when I graduated high school. I had worked full time for three years and saved my money, but even with scholarships, the price of tuition was out of reach for most schools. My parents added the money they had been able to save, but by the time I graduated, I was in debt.
Fast forward to today. Before partnering with Edward Jones, I worked to systematically create a life of financial stability and security for myself and my family. Now, I choose to work to help other people overcome their own anxiety about money and the future by partnering with them to develop strategies that help them organize, grow, protect and manage their own wealth. As a financial advisor, I help individuals, families and business owners meet their financial goals. Oftentimes that requires a team of professionals, estate attorneys or other members of their financial team to create a comprehensive strategy.
I'm married to my wife, Kelly, a professor at ETSU. We share our lives with our two children, plus our four rescued fur-ever kids. We enjoy travel, hiking, reading, sports, music and the arts. We are proud to support many local non-profit organizations including the animal shelter, Alzheimer's Tennessee, Tri-PRIDE, Cherished Mom and many others. We are dedicated to creating a diverse and inclusive community.
I value the opportunity to work with you. I realize money, investments and wealth can cause stress. I hope to reduce that anxiety by truly understanding what's important to you, your tolerance for the ups and downs of the market and then developing a personalized strategy to help you meet attainable short-term and long-term goals.
