Growing up on a farm in Canada, I learned the value of hard work and saving for the future. Keeping a budget, avoiding debt and making good investments became important factors in completing college and supporting a young family. After service in British Columbia as a member of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, I had an opportunity to become a financial advisor with E.F. Hutton in Charlotte, NC. Decades later, after years of working with clients in the Carolinas, my wife and I built an iconic B&B inn up on Washington's Olympic Peninsula, across from Victoria, BC where we started out as a young married couple and had promised each other to return some day.

After a period of cross-country commuting and fulfilling an obligation to my firm, I was approached in late 2017 about an opportunity to continue helping my clients in an existing branch of Edward Jones near our Washington home. Throughout the years I had seen many of my clients transition through various stages of their lives and have helped them manage their investments. My extensive experience as a financial advisor, and also as a Certified Financial Planner*, through decades of economic ups and downs has helped to temper my counsel into sage advice. Developing meaningful relationships and meeting the needs of my clients through personal service is a top priority

My community involvement includes local church membership, agri-tourism and hospitality. My wife, Janet, and I have four married children and 17 grandchildren.
