I began my Edward Jones career in 2010 as a financial advisor in Alameda. I followed in the footsteps of my mom who also worked as a financial advisor with Edward Jones. I became a limited partner with the firm in 2015.
In 2018 and 2019, I qualified to attend the Edward Jones Financial Leaders Conference, an honor reserved for 800 of the firm’s top financial advisors. In addition, I was selected to attend the 2020 Barron's 100 Top Advisors Summit and the 2020 Forbes "What's Ahead" Advisor Summit. In 2021, I qualified to attend Edward Jones Diversity Equity and Inclusion Conference, a nomination set for the top 350 underrepresented and diverse financial advisors.
A 2001 graduate of the University of Hawaii, I hold a master’s degree in ecological anthropology with a graduate certificate in business negotiations. This degree influenced my passion on values and ethics on environmental, social and governance investing. In addition, I received the CFP® professional certification in 2015.
My spouse, Beth, and I have two daughters – Lauren, who is strong willed and in elementary school and Evelyn, even more strong willed and in preschool. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with the family, surfing the ocean, exercising in the outdoors, raising chickens and lambs, and growing a large organic garden. I am an active member of the Surfrider Foundation, the Japanese American Citizens League, Environmental Defense Fund and Earthjustice.
I believe it’s important to invest my time in understanding what you’re working toward before you invest your money. Working closely with you and your CPA, attorney and other professionals. Our branch team consists of Glory Thomason, Cinthya Olson and Athena Paschal, all who have been working in the financial industry for several years. Relationships are key and, in our view,, meeting face to face or utilizing other media platforms builds strong relationships.
