I graduated from college with a degree in English education. I wanted to pass along my enjoyment of reading and writing to others as a teacher. However, as often happens, life has a way of taking some unexpected turns. After moving from the Bay Area to El Dorado County, I transitioned into finance as a banker, holding multiple positions at Union Bank from 2000 to 2007. This is when I discovered the enjoyment of helping clients accomplish financial goals and dreams. In 2007, a new opportunity presented itself at Edward Jones as a branch office administrator. I worked for a financial advisor in that role for four years. When the financial advisor changed firms, I found myself wanting to move into the financial advisor role. I have now been a financial advisor with Edward Jones since 2011.
What gives me the greatest sense of accomplishment is working with clients and their families for the long term. I have an established process I use to help clients prioritize, plan and stay on track to accomplish their financial goals. I also walk alongside my clients when unanticipated life events like job loss, death of a family member or divorce occurs.
I work with clients of all ages and enjoy helping clients who wish to have a greater understanding of the stock market, investing principles and be informed and in control of the investments they own. I also understand some of the unique planning challenges for couples or individuals who do not have children, as my husband and I do not have kids.
When not at work, I enjoy riding road bikes with my husband, Eric. I also volunteer with my husband for Ducks Unlimited and we're active in our church. I also enjoy reading a good mystery book.
I have held a board position on Foster Awareness Network along with being an active member in the local County Chamber. We may not have kids, but our 4-year-old Weimaraner keeps us active.
