The financial world can sometimes seem like strange territory. Like many others, I did not grow up in a home that stressed good financial habits, nor did my education spend much time on the language of finance and building wealth. In those early years, I didn't have anyone to work one-on-one with me to help determine the most appropriate financial strategy for me and my family.

I came to Edward Jones in 2000 because I wanted to help individual investors work toward reaching their financial goals. I believe it's important to begin that process by spending my time to understand what's important to you before you invest your money. Next, we can create a process to build personalized strategies to help you reach those goals. Lastly, we'll partner together throughout your life to help keep you on track.

I'm originally from the great state of Ohio and a proud graduate of The Ohio State University. While there, I was part of an extraordinary cheerleading program and got to see some of the best athletes, fans and events up close. My wife, Kathy, and I moved to Chicago and eventually took up permanent residence in Evanston with our two daughters who've kept us busy with their volleyball commitments!

Working alongside me is my senior branch office administrator, Marcia, who is always here to help with your needs. She and I have been together for 18 years to help ensure each client feels welcomed and valued. Marcia is a lifelong Chicago native and one of our area's biggest advocates for the Walk to End Alzheimer's.

Serving in various community organizations, I've been active in both the Park Ridge and Evanston areas. Currently, I serve as the board chair for the Rebuilding Exchange in Evanston and Chicago. I am also a member and past president of the Park Ridge "Noon" Kiwanis Club.

Look, if you spent more time last year planning your vacation than planning your retirement, then now is the time to take action. Preparing for retirement is like a cross-country journey. While it may seem like a long distance to cover, it starts with the first step of determining where you are today and where you want to be. Only then can you develop a strategy designed to help you achieve your long-term goals. Let me show you how.
