I first learned about investing when my 8th grade math teacher had us pick three stocks to track for the year, which I continued to do through high school. Being a natural saver, I wasted no time in opening an investment account with my hard-earned dollars from working as soon as I turned 18.
After graduating, I enlisted in the Marine Corps where I served honorably for six years as a reservist. Two of those years, I spent on active duty with a deployment in 2007. Overseas, my roommate was a financial advisor in the civilian world, and I picked his brain constantly. Upon returning home, I set out to obtain my BA at Western Washington University, graduating in 2011.
As a financial advisor, impacting the lives of clients motivates me every day. Building close relationships with my clients gives me a deep sense of responsibility to take care of them, their families and the community in which I serve.
While I focus on what is most important to each client, I also want to learn what hesitations they may have to make the process easy to understand so that a great client experience can be achieved.
My office partner, Deirdre Fairfax, has been my Senior Branch Office Administrator since 2015 and is the friendly face or the cheerful voice clients encounter first.
While not in the office, I'm a dedicated family man. I have an incredible wife, Jessica, who is my rock. We are blessed with three beautiful children: Naomi, Maeve and our newest addition, Zachary. We spend many hours outdoors exploring the wonderful trails we have here on Whidbey Island.
Community involvement is important to me.
