Chris joined Edward Jones in May 2009 and was asked to head his current office location on Rice Road in South Tyler, Texas. In the role of financial advisor, he follows a comprehensive approach of “helping families and businesses navigate the financial waters of life.” Areas of focus include the generation of income in retirement, implementing suitable investment strategies, assessing protection of assets and survivor needs, evaluating the impact of taxes, giving consideration to estate and family legacy, and providing general guidance in making smart financial decisions. This overall process encompasses and coordinates the involvement of CPAs, attorneys, and other key professionals. Collectively, he has worked in the financial industry in various capacities for over 26 years, which includes commercial banking, investment banking, financial analysis, and two private ventures.
In January 2015, Chris accepted an invitation to become a limited partner with Edward Jones. He maintains Series 7 and 66 securities registrations and Texas resident insurance license. He holds designations of CFP®, awarded by The Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards Inc., CLU®, awarded by The American College of Life Insurance, and AAMS®, awarded by The College for Financial Planning. He attended Stephen F. Austin State University earning a BBA in finance and an MBA in business.
In an effort to contribute professionally, Chris serves within two regional industry-related organizations. Additionally, he periodically provides product and financial education presentations within the community. He is a graduate from Class 27 of Leadership Tyler and an ongoing alumni member of LT100. Chris is currently serving on the Executive Committee for Alzheimer's Alliance of Smith County.
Personally, Chris is married with two adult children. He is a native Texan, born in Houston, and has called Tyler home since 1994. He has a history of serving in the community while keeping an active lifestyle.
