I guide individuals, families and small business owners in an increasingly complex and volatile investment environment by offering clear, straightforward financial advice and helping them to make sense of their investments.
Since joining Edward Jones, I have assisted many families in the community to fund their investment goals and plan for their financial futures. Prior to my career at Edward Jones, I worked in the financial services industry for nearly 13 years. I earned my B.A. from Dartmouth College.
My finance journey began in my junior year of college at the age of 20. I worked as an intern on the trading desk of a global investment bank and developed an enthusiasm for researching stocks. I saved $1,000 by the end of the summer and picked a blue-chip stock in which to invest. My father opened a brokerage account for us to invest in together. He purchased the stock I had chosen, and I was to reimburse him. Instead, I used the money to buy an electric guitar (since purchasing that guitar, I have learned to play a whopping nine chords and only one scale). Fortunately, my father held onto the investment and that initial $1,000 grew and eventually helped to fund his retirement. That experience taught me the power of compounding and investing for the long-term. While my ability to play the guitar has not grown, my passion for investing, educating my clients and helping them to create the life they dream of has grown exponentially.
I am a relationship builder, and I care deeply about my community. My wife, Courtney, and I live in the Crabapple area of Alpharetta, Georgia, with our two curious and very active young boys. Courtney is a classical pianist who still encourages me to play my guitar and master the E minor pentatonic scale. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family, watching sports and traveling.
