I grew up in the small town of Roanoke Rapids, NC. I live in the small town of Beaufort, NC. My business is in the small town of Ayden, NC. One would say I have an affection for small towns close to water and they would be right. I enjoy the fellowship, the familiarity and the laidback lifestyle of small-town living. Oh, and I enjoy all things associated with water and am an avid outdoorsman. When not running my business, you can find me on the waters of Lake Gaston, The Crystal Coast or Contentnea Creek.

Now, just because I fit right into the small-town lifestyle, doesn't mean I don't have big dreams, big ideas or big goals and neither do other small-town folks. Understanding this, I find extreme gratification helping others dream big, set big goals and financially fulfilling them.

Both my parents were in the financial services industry, so it was only natural that I followed their career paths after listening to them share their workday around the evening dinner table. After attending Appalachian State University, I began my banking career in Greensboro, NC in 1995. In 2008, I joined Edward Jones right here in Ayden, NC. Connie Hardee joined my team in 2010 as my Office Administrator. Together, we are committed to helping our community, families and friends plan and build an ideal, comfortable and sustainable lifestyle while also preparing for the unexpected in life.

When I began my practice in 2008, my mother wished my success and told me, "Son, treat every asset trusted with you as if it were your own, as if it were your own mother's. Don't ever let them down and never forget where you came from."
