When I ask my clients what matters most to them, the number one answer is financial security for themselves and their families. In my 20-plus years as a financial advisor, partnering with my clients to plan for their future and reach their financial goals has been my priority. It gives me great joy to see my clients live the life they dreamed of.
I’ve always had an eye on tomorrow. Raised by a single mother, I learned early on the value of hard work. With just a sixth-grade education herself, she worked multiple jobs to give me opportunities she never had, all while still being involved and supportive. I remember reciting my multiplication tables to her as she drove me to baseball practice. She instilled in me a love for learning and an unparalleled work ethic.
Because of her support, I graduated from San Diego State University in international business. While at SDSU, I was the first Latino Student Body President. From SDSU, I was recruited to join Edward Jones. I settled in Chula Vista and began my career by meeting clients in their homes and coffee shops. I look back at those days fondly; many of those people, and now their children, are still my clients today.
As a financial advisor with a CFP®, I focus on complicated financial situations, advising both individuals and businesses in matters of investments, wealth transfer and long-term financial strategies. I believe in learning what matters most to my clients, and partnering with them and their key professionals, such as CPAs and attorneys, to personalize their financial strategies. I anticipate and plan for their future needs by keeping an eye on my clients’ tomorrows.
My wife, a 5th grade teacher, and three children are all proud SDSU Aztecs. As a family, we are involved in our community through local charities and service organizations. And it gives me immense pride and joy that my mother lives with us. I’m able to give back to her the love and support she’s always given to me.
