I remember that mason jar full of money on top of the refrigerator – it was filled with the savings I took out of my weekly allowance I had been receiving since the 3rd grade. Friday nights was family game night and we often played finance games like Monopoly and Pay Day. As the son of an accountant, the values of personal finance have been instilled in me from a very young age. My first introduction into investing was while completing the Personal Management merit badge in the Boy Scouts. A year later, I earned the rank of Eagle Scout.
The skills I learned at a young age have allowed me to serve my clients effectively for the past nine years. After graduating from Sacramento State University, I spent a few years fundraising for the Boy Scouts of America and in 2013, opened my Edward Jones practice in Sacramento. In addition to serving my clients, I serve the firm in various leadership roles, including field training and mentoring.
My team includes an extraordinary branch office administrator, Marlee Stuller. Marlee has over 30 years of financial and client service experience. Working closely together, leveraging my knowledge as a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ practitioner, our team uses an established 5-step process to help ensure each client feels understood, informed, in control and ultimately secure with all aspects of their financial life. I enjoy educating clients and helping them make smart financial and life decisions.
Outside of the office, I enjoy spending time with my wife, Jen, our daughter, Kinsley (3), our newborn son, Drew, and our Labrador, Harley (10). My passion for helping clients achieve their charitable giving goals and my enjoyment of the live theater has led me to serve on the board of directors for the Broadway Sacramento Foundation. In my rare free time, you can find me gasping for breath on local hiking trails, ruining a good walk attempting to golf or swirling red wine right onto my white shirt.
