Hi! Thanks for taking a minute to learn about my branch team. We strive first to understand our clients' needs, and then to serve with love, honesty and enthusiasm.

We want to be an important part of our clients' lives. Helping clients have successful financial lives is a big job and we love doing it. "Let's go make the world a better place!" is how I end our staff meetings.

It's been a very interesting 20-plus years! I've led my clients through three recessions, a tech bubble, the Enron scandal, the September 11th attacks, a global financial crisis, oil shocks, trade wars, a global pandemic and high inflation; yet, during this time, our business has flourished. How did this happen? Good decisions are made when we focus solely on long-term client goals.

I'm proud of our team: We've qualified for the annual Edward Jones Managing Partner's Conference 15 times – an event reserved for the firm's top 400 financial advisors. We also reached our firm's pinnacle achievement by qualifying twice for the Drucker Council, a group of just 75 branch teams that qualify by both the size of our business and also by randomly surveying over 100 clients on their experience with my branch. Happy clients equal success!

My educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in economics from Saint John's University in 1990 and an MBA in finance from the University of Notre Dame in 1994.

What kind of clients are a best fit for my office? Typically, my clients are fun and light-hearted people who have been serious savers their entire lives. My clients are generally retired, within five years of retirement or a family member of a client.

My father, Don, started this office in 1986; I joined in 1998, and he retired in 2003. Because of our 35-plus years of service, many of our relationships are now with the second, third and fourth generation of a family. We love helping successful families continue their prosperity.

I've held leadership roles in Kiwanis, the United Way, my parish council, our public library and the historical society. I've also coached youth soccer and football for many years. My wife, Catherine, and I have three daughters and one son. In my free time, my personal interests include spending time with family, going to the lake, fishing, hunting, football, reading and hockey.

Cheers!
Brett
