I grew up with a passion for music and art. For years, I focused on my music with the dream of having a career and "hitting it big." I balanced music with other work to help support my family, but when my second child came along, it was time to reevaluate how best I could provide for them. With that, I went back to college and received my degree at the age of 36.

Having lived in a town where Edward Jones had had a presence for 33 years at that time and having parents who had trusted Edward Jones for many years, I pursued a career with the firm so many in our community respected. As with anything worth having, it was challenging in the beginning, but over the last 17 years it has been rewarding to watch families meet their goals and live at least some of their dreams because they put their trust in Edward Jones, Leslie, Lea and myself.

Working with my branch office administrators, Leslie Starr, who started alongside me in 2003, and Lea Hall, who joined us eight years ago, has been a wonderful experience. They are like family. We partner together each day to provide the most ideal client experience possible.

What I enjoy most about being a financial advisor is being involved in my clients lives in a meaningful way, building relationships and partnering to help them reach their financial goals. I believe Edward Jones stands out from other firms because of the client-centric focus we truly have.

Over the years I've enjoyed the ability to give back to my community through coaching kids sports and serving on a number of boards, including the local school district, Marshall Rotary, the Boy Scouts, the Harrison County Literacy Council and the United Way of Harrison County.

Outside the office, I enjoy home improvement projects, playing music, playing golf and binge-watching Netflix with my wife, Jamie.
