I bring a different prospective to my role as a financial advisor. Prior to joining Edward Jones in 2018, I spent over a decade as Vice President Chief Loan Officer of two banks, helping families overcome financial emergencies and attain greater financial confidence starting with their financial footing. I counseled individuals of all ages, helping them achieve their goals with coaching and careful planning. Along the way, I built a reputation true to my values of honesty, empathy, hard work and respect for others.
I understand what it means to not have all your eggs in one basket. The rest of that story is it is ok to have all your baskets in one wagon. Effectively planning for retirement can involve a variety of accounts and investments, including IRAs, employer-sponsored retirement plans (e.g., 401(k)), annuities, equities, mutual funds and life insurance. As an Edward Jones financial advisor, I believe it’s important to invest my time to understand what you’re working toward before you invest your money. Working closely with you and your CPA, attorney and other professionals, I can help determine the most appropriate financial strategy for you and your family. I can also help with your retirement savings strategy so you have more options when you retire, regardless of what you decide to do.
My family has owned and operated the same farm for over a century outside of Quincy, IL. Growing up in this environment has molded me into the person I am today. My wife, Kaylan, and I reside in Camp Point with our five children, Makayla, Myra, Warren, Malia and Watson. We spend a majority of our time enjoying the great outdoors by working in the garden and swimming in our pond.
I also love being involved in local community groups. I am active with my local Coatsburg Lions group as president and as a board member of the Adams county Soil and Water District. I'm also on the board and finance committee for the United Way of Adams County.
