I am a financial advisor who serves the serious long-term investor. After developing an investment strategy tailored to the specific goals of my clients, I carefully craft a properly balanced portfolio while partnering with them to help achieve those goals. My areas of focus include employee stock options, executive compensation and helping organize money for successful individuals, families and business owners.
I began my Edward Jones career in 2008 as an intern in Chapel Hill, N.C., while I earned a degree in economics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. In 2012, I became a financial advisor with Edward Jones. I received the AAMS® professional designation in 2016 from the College for Financial Planning. In 2020, I received the CFP® certification after fulfilling extensive education requirements, passing the rigorous standardized national examination process, demonstrating work experience and completing the ethical requirements. Study topics include the financial planning process, risk management, investments, tax planning and management, retirement and employee benefits and estate planning.
In 2018, our branch team received the Commanders Award for our contributions to the Toys for Tots organization. Also in 2018, I was one of 922 of the firm's 14,000 financial advisors to receive the Ted Jones Entrepreneurial Award. In 2019, I served on the planning board for the town of Waxhaw. I was also the club leader for the Union County Carolina Alumni Club.
My greatest joy is spending time with my family. My wife, Jordan, and I live in Waxhaw with our three children. We have two daughters, Ava James and Livingston, and our son, Benjamin "Chase" Asseff, Jr.
