Edward Jones has always believed that it's not just people on Wall Street who need investment advice. People on Main Street deserve to be able to reach their financial goals, too. That's one of the reasons I chose to work at Edward Jones more than 20 years ago.
My interest in finance began in high school, when my team won an investment challenge and a trip to a convention at the Opryland Hotel in Nashville. I went on to earn a college degree in finance and then interviewed with several firms, including Edward Jones.
I was familiar with Edward Jones because my grandparents had an Edward Jones account, but the real draw for me was the idea of having my own office in a small community. Being in a big office with six or seven other financial advisors, or even more, didn't appeal to me. I also grew up in a small town and knew that's the kind of place I wanted to raise a family.
Being in a small, close-knit community has also allowed me to watch my clients raise their families. It's rewarding to see the results of what we've helped them build, to watch the work we've put into place for clients' goals really come full circle. We have clients who started with retirement goals, and they're now looking at leaving legacies for their families.
When I'm not thinking about the best investment strategies for our clients, I love spending time with my wife, kids and church family. I love to fish, hunt and watch the kids play soccer. My wife and I have even coached YMCA soccer. We also love adventure travel. Our favorite trip was to Wyoming, where we went white water rafting, bike riding and horseback riding.
My job as an Edward Jones financial advisor has allowed me to plan for the things that are most important to my family and me. My goal is to help you figure out what's most important to you financially, whether that's retirement, a home or leaving your kids or grandkids an inheritance.
Let's talk about how I can help you reach your goals. Call for an appointment today.
