If my name sounds familiar to you or you recognize my face, there's a really good reason for that. Chances are I've been in your home—on your TV. Prior to joining Edward Jones in 2006, I worked as a TV news anchor and reporter at Fox 6 in Milwaukee. For nearly nine years, I anchored the 5pm and 9pm weeknight newscasts. I also reported on a financial education series called "Money Saver." I loved helping viewers better understand how to spend and save wisely. The element that was missing for me was seeing who I was talking to.
That prompted a career change that allowed me to meet folks face to face and help tailor an individual strategy to meet their changing needs and goals throughout their lives. I also had a lifelong desire to run my own business. Working at Edward Jones gave me the perfect opportunity to do both.
I'm honored that Forbes magazine named me to the "Top Women Wealth Advisors Best-in-State" for Wisconsin in 2022. I ranked #4 in the statewide survey.*
Additionally, Senior Branch Office Administrator Michelle Toth and I qualified again this year for the Drucker Council at Edward Jones. I value this opportunity to collaborate with our firm's leaders and other purpose-driven branch teams on best practices to grow our impact for our clients, colleagues and communities. We thank our clients who have placed their trust in us.
My Edward Jones branch is located in Sussex — at the corner of Highways 164 and K. I've been at this location since July 2007. I'm involved in leadership at Edward Jones and serve as the Wisconsin chair of the Grassroots Task Force. I work with Wisconsin lawmakers in the US House and US Senate on behalf of Edward Jones clients. I travel to Washington DC annually to represent client concerns and interests to lawmakers. I also hold the AAMS™ designation.
I'm married to Miles Aquino, whom I met in the newsroom at Fox 6 and later recruited to work at Edward Jones. We live in Sussex and you may see us around town walking our foxhound, Lexi. We adopted her from the Elmbrook Humane Society.
