My most impactful experience with money was when I was 15 years old. I just received my first summer job paycheck and was embarrassingly excited about the $186 of possibilities it contained. When my mom picked me up from work I proudly showed her the fruits of my labor and my plans for it. She drove me to Edward Jones, where I thought I was just going to make a deposit, but instead I had an appointment to open up a retirement account. "Retirement?!" I exclaimed. "I don't even have a driver's license yet!" I was taught that for each paycheck I received, I had to make it a habit of putting some away, no matter how little it seemed. Now that I am older, I have seen first hand the importance of making smart financial choices early - a lesson that I impart to my clients.

I grew up in Albuquerque before attending college at William Smith in New York. While there, I studied Architecture and was a part of the varsity soccer team. Upon graduation, I decided to move back home to the desert to begin my career as a teacher while completing my master's degree in education at the University of New Mexico. During this time, I developed my passion for teaching and my love for working with individuals in a one-on-one setting.

When I was not teaching, you could find me out on the hiking trails, traveling or on a bike enjoying the beautiful weather we are lucky enough to have most of the year. My most meaningful trip was in 2018, when I hiked over 500 miles across northern Spain on the Camino de Santiago.

When I decided to become a financial advisor, it was with the heart of a teacher. I believe it's important to invest my time in understanding what your goals are and to understand the level of risk you're comfortable taking. Whether you're planning for retirement, saving for college for children or grandchildren, or just trying to protect the financial future of the ones you care for the most, we can work together to develop specific strategies to help you achieve your goals.
