Adam K Miller

My grandfather, Herman Miller, taught me the fundamentals of investing and personal finance as a teenager. As we sat down and I began to understand the math behind compound interest over long periods of time, I became hooked and wanted to learn all that I could about the world of business and finance. I opened a Roth IRA later that year, putting most of my earnings from my first job as a lifeguard into it at summer's end.

Prior to Edward Jones, I earned degrees in engineering (BS Industrial Engineering Purdue University '04) and business (MBA University of Iowa '10). I have specialized in leading manufacturing and technical teams through major changes and growth, largely in a factory setting. I've traveled all over the country since college, but am proud to call Southern Indiana my home and to build my business and serve the community in which I grew up.

I love making the complex simple and actionable, and helping those I work with achieve goals they never thought possible. Along the way, I do all I can to educate, build trust and inject a little bit of humor into what can sometimes be scary things to think about for most people.

Outside of work, I love spending time with my kids in the evenings at youth sports. On the weekends, I've been known to watch college basketball and football and am also a musical enthusiast. I asked for the new Air Jordan's when I was 14 and my Mom got me a guitar instead, which has turned into a favorite past time.

I love partnering with clients who are disciplined, inquisitive, coachable, able to find the humor in life and are committed to bettering themselves, their family and their community. My experience lends itself to working with small businesses and start-ups, as well as with managers and executives with a manufacturing-based background – among others.
