One of the greatest benefits of what I do every day is to see my clients achieve what is most important to them. For some, that is having a ‘work optional’ retirement. For others, it is to spend more time with their family, either at home or by traveling together. I truly enjoy conversations with clients which revolve around what they are most passionate about.
My office administrator, Karen Zimmerman, helps to ensure our client's needs are being met. She and I have worked together for 17 years. Karen is an integral part of our processes at the office and a key partner in our practice.
Between my active duty time in the U.S. Marine Corps and starting my career with Edward Jones, I completed degrees in finance and international business at Drake University. Karen and I began our business in Altoona, Iowa and have been very fortunate to be able to focus on building our practice by focusing on multi-generational families and businesses whose values align with ours. In January of 2019, we were able to move our office to Bondurant.
My wife, Heidi, and our boys, Gabe and Zach, love this community and continue to look for ways to give back. Civically, I’m involved with the Bondurant Farrar Education Foundation, Bondurant Chamber of Commerce, East Polk Rotary Club, Marine Corps League, Masonic institutions and several other organizations.
Over the past 17 years, our practice has evolved to a disciplined process where we focus on what is most important to our clients. We work with multiple generations of our clients’ families, building strategies to achieve and protect their goals and legacies and then to efficiently pass their assets on to their families and the charitable interests they are passionate about. In doing so, we partner with our clients and their families for the long run.
When we’re not cheering for our boys at their events, we enjoy unique restaurants, wine, cooking, biking and traveling together and with our sons.
