I was lucky. My parents and grandparents taught me how to save, how to invest and how to give back to those less fortunate. So, I got a good head start not only on money management but also on giving my money purpose. Now as a financial advisor, these are the same types of things I help my clients do on a more complex scale.

I've been in the financial services industry for 15 years, the last five with Edward Jones. Throughout my career I've worked in banking, lending, underwriting and insurance. While my branch is in Addison, IL, the clients I serve are not only local (in the Chicagoland Area) but also geographically diverse since I am currently registered and licensed in 14 states and Washington, D.C. This is primarily because I have lived throughout the United States, having been born in Atlanta, grown up in Galesburg, IL, and lived and worked in New York City, Washington, D.C., L.A. and now settled in the western suburbs of Chicago.

Helping clients with financial strategies starts with setting goals – what you want your money to do, how you want to live your life, what you want for your family / business, or your legacy. Once we've set the path forward, we will have periodic reviews to make sure these goals are still your priority and that you are still on track. Along the way, we will look at opportunities for tax-advantaged investments, rebalancing accounts when its appropriate to take advantage of market events, keeping emotions away from money decisions and letting your money work toward your purpose.

Throughout my career, I've built a valuable group of resources around the country who I call on when they can add value for my clients. I personally know and trust them.

On a personal note, my wife of five years, Lindsey, and I have a daughter, Rosalie, and a dog named Scotch. Lindsey is active in Sweet Adeline's where she sings in a competitive chorus and quartet. I am an avid golfer, and we both love to travel. I've been a Rotarian since 2007 and currently serve as the local club president.

Now I want to hear about you and what you want for your life, your family, your future. Let's carve out a path that helps to lead you there.
