Client Video - Long Beach:

The workplace is such an important part for the financial journey because that's where it starts. Most people get introduced to investments and the opportunity to save through their workplace.

My name is Norm Cauntay. Financial advisor with Edward Jones for about 14 years now.

I love what the firm's doing. We're 100 year old firm, and we're constantly evolving. And over the last several years, we've been doubling down on all our resources and workplace.

It starts with the goals. What's important to the employer and understanding their needs. Then we talk about plan design. What things can we put in place to benefit the employer and its employees, to keep them engaged and then walk in through the education component.

What I love about Ruth is that we're cut from the same cloth. We're both, children of immigrants who value humility, hard work and family.

My name is Ruth Tello-Di Leva. And I've been a small business owner for about 25 years now.

There's things that people don't understand when you're not from a diverse, underrepresented community. Most of my employees, are from immigrant background or first generation. So It was very important for me to educate them and to set them up for the future.

The retirement plan was the way to do it. It ties in to their family, to their future, you know, passing wealth from one generation to the other, but also the better we do as a company, the bigger the retirement, amount is at the end of the year.

I define my practice as being very financial planning focused. Really about holistic financial planning with individual families. Businesses that we serve and we're really about education and just making the process simple.

I see it as my duty. My privilege really, to give the next generation a hand up, give them information and knowledge that I did not have. And to set them and their families, up for success, and security for the future.

I've been working with businesses for most of my career. I feel comfortable in that space. And it's because of my mother. My mother was an immigrant, but she was a business owner, and she still has one today, almost 80 years old and still running a business.

I think it's brought a lot of skills for me to be able to make an impact.
