For nearly 100 years, we've taken our role as a respected corporate citizen and community partner seriously. Today we strive to live our values through volunteering, charitable giving and supporting causes that are most important to our clients and associates.

Where purpose meets passion

Our culture of caring means we seek to make a difference in people’s lives as we help clients accomplish their goals, champion our colleagues’ unique contributions, and strengthen communities by caring for our planet and supporting national and local organizations.

Serving clients

We care deeply about our clients and invest thoughtfully in helping them and their families, one relationship at a time. We do this through our 15,000 branch offices across North America, and support causes that are important to our clients.

One such cause is Alzheimer’s disease. For the past five years we’ve raised $25 million for the Alzheimer's Association and have pledged to raise an additional $25 million to advance education and research. Learn more about our strategic partnership with the Alzheimer's Association.

Strengthening communities

We give back and actively work to strengthen the communities where we live and work. The range of organizations we support is as diverse as the passions of our associates and often at their request.

We care about building financial resilience and economic inclusion and support Financial Fitness programs in high schools, with our own associates and with younger investors.

We also provided donations and volunteer support to help our communities meet pandemic needs. And through our Edward Jones Foundation, we invested $13.5 million in 2019 in organizations throughout North America that are addressing health, social service, economic development and education needs in our communities.

80,000 financial IQs (and counting) were boosted through our online Edward Jones Financial Fitness program, and more than 2,000 high school students participated in our in-school curriculum this year.

Championing associates

We champion inclusive leadership that promotes mentoring and caring for others. Our unique business model offers entrepreneurial, innovative paths to meet the needs of associates and their families. We empower our associates by providing leadership opportunities, supporting causes that matter to them, and commit to building a truly equitable culture. $1.2 million was our 2020 contribution to the National Urban League and its St. Louis affiliate to address racism and positively impact opportunities for people of color.

Protecting our planet

The legacy of Edward Jones is rooted in conservation and an abiding respect for nature. The late Ted Jones, the firm’s second managing partner, and his wife, Pat, had a passion for conservation, a legacy that continues to inspire the firm today to protect the planet. We encourage associates to think like owners, act as stewards and make thoughtful and environmentally conscious choices at work, at home and in their communities.

As more investors turn to digital platforms, we’re expanding our digital toolbox and growing greener. We invest in green sustainable building practices in our home office locations and are actively working to reduce our carbon footprint, minimize waste, and protect and restore natural habitats to promote an equitable and healthy future. We also are extending our environmental stewardship by tracking key environmental and energy metrics throughout our business operations. Learn more about our sustainability efforts.

$500 million investment in our digital strategy will decrease paper consumption, while providing digital tools to help ensure clients feel informed, understood, secure and in control of their financial future.
