How do I present a seminar at my branch?

Different ways to present a seminar

When presenting an Edward Jones seminar at your branch, there are several ways to use the slides.

Please note: Branch and remote access users cannot save files to their computers.

When delivering this seminar, you must display (or distribute printed copies of) the presentation slides for attendees to read. The slides contain required regulatory information and disclosures.

You or a vendor can save the seminar slides using a non-Edward Jones computer outside of your branch by accessing the seminars page on the Edward Jones graphics site.

It is recommended to test the slides 1 week prior to the event.

Here are the different ways to present seminars inside the branch:

Use a Thumbnail Drive with TV in Conference Room

You may use a thumb nail drive to plug into the TV in your branch.

  • Download the ZIP JPEG file to a non-Edward Jones computer
  • UnZIP the file using ZIP utility software.
  • Save the entire folder containing seminar slide JPEGs to a USB thumbdrive (with available space)
  • Insert USB thumbdrive into the TV

To use this option, you will need to download/save seminar files to a non-Edward Jones computer with internet access.

Note: Edward Jones branch computers are not able to use USB

Additional workstation with TV in conference room

Additional workstation with projector

Hook your additional workstation up to the Projector in your Conference Room and display the Seminar file on JonesLink

Display slides on your branch computer monitor

For very small groups, you can display the seminar on your branch computer monitor using the PowerPoint Show file or the PDF slideshow.

Print paper copies of slides

You can print paper copies of the slides and distribute them to attendees at your branch by using the PDF file.

A local printer/vendor can also print paper copies of slides for you by accessing the Edward Jones graphics site.

For printed options: Because seminar content and slides are updated periodically, you should always print a new copy of this seminar prior to each presentation.
