At the age of 13, I fell in love with money! I would walk home after my babysitting jobs counting the money I had made. Watching the balance rise in my savings account was exciting and I would leave the bank thinking about when I would be able to add to it. Money earned from babysitting meant I had the ability to buy my own clothes, shoes and even breakfast cereal (when my Mom wouldn't buy the sugary kind I liked!). Even at that young age, I understood and loved the feeling of freedom and independence that money gave me.

It would come as no surprise to anyone when I started working as a bank teller a few years later. That decision started a 30-year career in finance, which continues today.

However, it wasn't until I became a financial advisor with Edward Jones that I found my true purpose and passion; helping people understand what they have and why they have it.

Many of the clients that are referred to me are motivated and professional women; they have built successful careers and raised beautiful families.

A recent event has shifted their focus and they need to take a more active role in managing their own money, which oftentimes feels overwhelming and uncertain. They want assistance and education in an environment where their voices are heard, and where they receive the support and encouragement they want to take control of their financial future.

By focusing on what is most important to you and providing an environment where you feel inspired and understood, you can begin to live life by your design, free from the worry and uncertainty that can exist when you do not truly understand what your money can do for you.
