Treating others the way I would like to be treated has always been a driving force in the way I approach the privilege of serving others. I believe that listening to what is important to the clients I am privileged to serve is so important and helps me provide advice that will help them achieve their goals.
I was first introduced to Edward Jones as a client, so I had the unique opportunity to see what an ethical, community minded firm I was working with. When I had the good fortune to join Edward Jones in 2002, I was excited for the opportunity to serve the community in a career that allowed me to help make a difference in people's lives.
As an Edward Jones financial advisor, I believe it’s important to invest my time to understand what you’re working toward before you invest your money. It's also important to understand the level of risk you're comfortable accepting when investing so we can balance it with the steps necessary to reach your long-term goals.
There are three things I strive to provide my Clients throughout our time working together:
- A clear explanation of the investments I recommend.
- Timely updates on Market conditions and volatility.
- Transparent explanations of costs.
I also make it a priority to continually develop my skills through an ongoing commitment to education, as I have earned the AAMS® and CRPC® professional certifications.
As a member of my community I believe it is important to serve others through volunteering as well. I serve currently as president of the Ionia Area Chamber of Commerce and vice president of the Sparrow Ionia Foundation Board. These volunteer commitments are a small way of giving back to our community in a way that can potentially make a difference.
My wife, Cathy, and I have strong family roots in the community. We have two grown children and three grandchildren. I enjoy golf, fishing and cross country skiing.
