Growing up in South Louisiana, my first exposure to Edward Jones was through a family friend who became a financial advisor. We would play cards and dominos at my grandparents' home with both my grandfather and him. It was during those card and dominos games that I first started to learn about investing, and the importance of having a long-term strategy at any age. Leaving home, I headed to LSU, where I earned my undergraduate degree while being actively involved with Student Government and Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity and continue to be involved in the DFW Pi Kappa Alpha Alumni Association today.
As a young working adult, I became a client of Edward Jones. My financial advisor helped navigate me through many of life’s stages: preparing for marriage, retirement strategies, home purchases and sales, and legacy considerations. One day she asked me if I had thought about becoming a financial advisor, and that I should look into joining Edward Jones. The more I learned about the firm, the more excited I became about the opportunity to help people through all stages of their lives.
I am honored to serve the residents of my community through actively serving my church, serving on my foundation board of directors and at the altar as an emcee, Lector, and chalice bearer. I also serve my business community where I am an ambassador for the Murphy Chamber of Commerce and the Farmers Branch Chamber of Commerce.
Through my work and volunteer experience I began to recognize that people from all walks of life need help with developing a financial strategy.
I use an established process to help my clients build personalized strategies to reach their goals. People who benefit from my services are families, individuals approaching or living in retirement, and small businesses that need help with employer retirement plans.
It is never too early or late in life to gain control of your financial future. I look forward to listening to your story and learning what’s important to you.
