I'm fortunate to work for a company that has goals that are very much in line with mine: service to the community. In fact, all our financial advisors are given a "Can Serve" date after passing tests and training.
There are only two things in the world you can control: your attitude and your activity. Edward Jones provides the research, tools and support that allow me to focus my actions on getting to know what is important to my clients. When I understand what you want, and what you need, our established process makes us partners in your success. My attitude is consistently upbeat; if you do the right kinds of things, you'll be fine.
I genuinely love my job - in good times and bad. No one can do it all alone. I provide the advice and education that help people prosper. That's important to me, and to them.
I try to stay active in charitable efforts and programs. I commit to donating 10% of my time to philanthropic efforts. I'm not rich, so I know I can't make enough financial donations to change the world - but I am pretty good at charity fundraising, raising awareness and sometimes just collecting food for the hungry. Everyone has lots of demands on their time and money, so I try to do what I can.
