My favorite part of being a financial advisor is seeing clients achieve their financial goals.
I became a financial advisor with Edward Jones in 2006. Prior to that, I worked for the Indiana House of Representatives where I met my wife, Amy. We have four children, Maggie, Joseph, Caroline and Samuel, and a Saint Bernard (Mollie). We live on Evansville’s westside and attend St Joseph Church.
Amy and I are very active within the community. I have served on various boards including Rotary, Youth First, Vanderburgh Community Foundation and the Downtown Evansville Improvement District. I’m most passionate about helping children achieve their ultimate potential.
In 2018, I became a Certified Financial Planner®. The Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards Inc. awards CFP® certification to individuals who meet the board’s requirements for professionalism in financial services. To gain certification, a financial advisor must pass the CFP® Certification Examination and the CFP Board’s Fitness Standards for Candidates and Registrants, agree to abide by the CFP Board’s Code of Ethics and Professional Responsibility and comply with the Financial Planning Practice Standards.
Our ideal clients are serious, long-term investors who generally have 500k or more of investable assets. However, we regularly help clients (mostly young couples) who are below the 500k threshold, but need help creating attainable financial goals. Our office also provides education on basic financial literacy and budgeting.
I have an incredible office staff led by Senior Branch Office Administrators Brittany Maurer and Kelbe Douglass. Debbie Chattin and Linda Litty support our work on a part-time basis. They are all seasoned professionals and I depend on them to run the office and answer questions.
