I bought my first stock when I was 18. I still own that stock today. I like to use the same strategy with my clients. Identify investments that you would feel comfortable owning for a long time, only adjust when there are compelling reasons. I grew up in Otsego. After school, my job was working in my father's hardware store. My brother continues to operate that store today. I'm a proud Ferris State Bulldog. My sister married into a family who owns the local grocery store. Local engagement is a family legacy, and remains very important to me.
