I work to help individuals and families in their communities overcome complexity, live comfortable financial lives on their terms and create a lasting legacy with actionable, trustworthy strategies.
As a graduate of Appalachian State University with a degree in organization communication followed by a Master of Divinity from Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary, I have spent more than 15 years in retail leadership and church ministry and now use my combined skills at Edward Jones. My business partner and Senior Branch Office Administrator, Heather Whitmire, and I strive to ensure each client feels understood, informed, in control and secure in what matters most. Together, we are highly skilled and have developed and optimized a process of partnership that helps our clients dreams become reality. In 2020, I was honored with the prestigious Ted Jones Spirit of Caring Award.
I live with my wife, Christine, daughter, Rose, and our two dogs, a Lab-Hound mix named Lilly and my wife’s Chihuahua, Purl. I enjoy my involvement within the Asheville community through Rotary, my local church, and serving on the board of Children's First as well as the WNC Estate Planning Council. These groups have taught me the importance of relationship building and being a great communicator and leader. I’ve always enjoyed challenges and absolutely delight in hobbies that can never be perfected such as golf, fantasy football, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and power-lifting. These challenges take focus, discipline and positivity in order to navigate the complex and arrive at the new goal, which is a lesson that is re-taught each time I attempt a new personal record in weight lifting.
By partnering with my clients and working with them to identify their goals, I create custom strategies to help them organize, grow, protect and transfer their wealth. I use an all-inclusive approach to tailor solutions to each client. Earning the ChFC® designation has helped me become well-prepared to face the challenges of creating complex wealth strategies. As part of my comprehensive approach, I often partner with my clients’ CPAs, attorneys and other trusted professionals.
