The Edward Jones Dollar Cost Averaging Program

Trying to time the market is much easier said than done. That's why we offer a program called Dollar Cost Averaging (DCA). DCA is a regular and disciplined investment program that can potentially grow your portfolio over time.

By investing a fixed dollar amount each month, market fluctuations can work in your favor, allowing you to buy more shares when prices are low and fewer shares when prices are high. Although DCA does not assure a profit and does not protect against a loss in declining markets, it typically results in a lower overall average cost per share.

DCA offers these features and more:

  • Ability to invest regularly over time rather than with one lump sum
  • Available on mutual funds and more than 250 stocks, including all stocks on the Edward Jones Stock Focus List
  • Fractional and full shares are purchased, so shares accumulate faster
  • All investments appear with a cost basis on one consolidated statement
  • Low minimum investment

For more information, please contact your local financial advisor.

DCA does not assure a profit and does not protect against loss in declining markets. Such a plan involves continuous investment regardless of fluctuating price levels. You should consider your financial ability to continue purchases in periods of low price levels.

Stock and/or mutual fund investments are subject to fluctuations in value, and that shares when redeemed, may be worth more or less than their original costs. You should consider the investment objective, risks, and charges and expenses carefully before investing. The prospectus contains this and other information. Your Edward Jones financial advisor can provide a prospectus, which should be read carefully before investing.
