Edward Jones Text Messaging – Stay In Touch and Secure

When life takes you in many directions, text messaging from Edward Jones can provide easy access to your Edward Jones team, plus help you confirm your identity when accessing account information online.

  • Text your financial advisor and Edward Jones team with questions and to confirm appointments.
  • Receive security alerts to monitor changes to your personal information.
  • Confirm your identity with a security code sent by text when you sign in to Online Access.

How to sign up

If you aren't signed up for Online Access: Text the word "Connect" to 31268 or follow our online instructions to get started.

If you already use Online Access: Download our Online Access User Guide for sign up instructions or log in to Online Access and go to "Settings" and click "Manage" next to your phone number to sign up.

Types of text you might receive

  • Messages from your Edward Jones office. Your welcome text will contain the 5-digit number you can use to text your Edward Jones team. For easy reference, save the number to your contacts. If you lose the number, you can look it up by going to "Settings" in Online Access and clicking on "Manage" next to the "Phone/Text" section.

    Your entire Edward Jones team will be able to text you and view and respond to your texts. However, the team will have limited access to text outside of business hours, so you may not receive an immediate response, especially in the evening or on weekends.

  • Security alerts. You can choose from five security-related alerts; password change, email change, user ID change and locked user ID (due to too many failed password attempts). Sign up for text alerts by going to "Settings" in Online Access and clicking on "Manage Phone/Text."
  • Two-step authentication. If you use Online Access, you can choose to receive a code via text to confirm your identity when logging into your account.
