About Penny
Penny Pennington joined Edward Jones in 2000 as a financial advisor in Livonia, Mich. In addition to serving her clients, she served in many regional capacities and completed an asset-sharing program. In 2006, she was named a principal and relocated to the firm’s St. Louis headquarters to join the New Financial Advisor Training department.
In 2008, Pennington was asked to lead the newly created BOA Development area, responsible for the selection, training and development of the firm’s branch office administrators. In 2011, she assumed responsibility for Branch and Region Development which leads regional leadership teams to achieve their region’s business objectives. In 2015, she assumed leadership of the Client Strategies Group, which is responsible for the products, services and solutions delivered to clients, as well as Research, Trading and Marketing.
Pennington is a member of the firm’s Executive, Management and Audit Committees and is a board member of the Edward Jones Trust Company. She also is a senior executive sponsor of the firm’s LGBTA Business Resource Group.
A native of Nashville, Tenn., Pennington attended the University of Virginia, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in commerce with a concentration in finance. She holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation, is a graduate of Wharton’s Securities Industry Institute, and earned her MBA from Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
She serves on the boards of Shakespeare Festival St. Louis, Saint Louis Fashion Fund, Donald Danforth Plant Science Center, and United Way of St. Louis.

About Kit
The final speaker of the day, Ann Shoket, will be introduced by another Edward Jones leader, Kit Sundararaman. Kit leads the Client Insights and Strategy team, which is responsible for the design, development and the execution of research that’s needed to address the firm’s business issues. She is also responsible for Marketing Strategy. Sundararaman was named a limited partner with the firm in 2014 and a partner in 2015.
