Victor Soto

Victor, Edward Jones Principal, leads Investment Manager Research, which is responsible for providing investment research, due diligence and monitoring of investment strategies across the platforms available to Edward Jones financial advisors and clients.
 
Victor serves as a voting member of the Edward Jones Investment Policy Committee. The committee is the steward of the firm's investment philosophy and has decision-making and oversight responsibility for much of the firm's advice and guidance relied upon by branch teams to help clients meet their long-term goals. He also serves as a voting member of the Edward Jones Advisory Investment Committee, which approves and provides oversight for recommendations for the Advisory Solutions Fund Models, the Program List and Bridge Builder Funds.
 
Victor joined Edward Jones as principal in 2022. Prior to joining Edward Jones, Victor led investment research and analysis at Brighthouse Financial. Prior to Brighthouse, he held positions of increasing scope and responsibility in manager-of-managers due diligence and portfolio management within both retail and institutional businesses at 1st Global, First Command, and MetLife. Victor spent most of the beginning of his career as a professor and lecturer of finance and economics, including full-time positions at Stonehill and Bryant, and adjunct positions at Bentley, Brandeis, and Brown.
 
Victor graduated from Bryant University in Smithfield, Rhode Island in 2000 with a BS in Finance, and received his MBA in Finance, also from Bryant University, in 2003. He is a CFA® charterholder and a member of the CFA® Institute and the CFA® Society Boston. Victor also is a CAIA charterholder, and holds the FRM certification.
 
He and his wife, Stephanie, have a daughter, Victoria. The family enjoys beach days, cycling, hiking and skiing.
