Steve Carani is the Edward Jones principal responsible for the Service division, which comprises Branch Team Support, Tailored Support and Service Insights. The Service division serves and supports branch teams in finding solutions for account processing needs and helps them in their efforts to help clients achieve their financial goals by understanding needs and implementing tailored solutions.
Steve serves on the Management Committee, which provides critical thought and leads and drives initiatives that enable Edward Jones to progress toward its vision of becoming the first choice of serious, long-term individual investors.
He began his Edward Jones career in 1992 as a branch office specialist. The follow-ing year, he became a licensed financial advisor and opened an office in St. Louis.
During his time as a financial advisor, Steve served in a variety of regional leadership roles and helped grow the firm and reach additional investors by completing three asset-sharing programs. He also served as a regional leader for seven years and qualified to attend 11 Managing Partner’s Conferences.
Steve was named an Edward Jones principal in 2003.
In 2010, he relocated to the firm’s St. Louis headquarters to serve as a Branch and Region Development area leader. In this role, he was responsible for the growth, health and leadership development of financial advisors in Missouri and Kansas and led an initiative to support field-based area leaders.
In fall 2013, Steve transitioned to the Service division and assumed responsibility for the division in 2016. Today, he continues to use his experience as a financial advisor to help branch teams deliver an ideal client experience.
Originally from Libertyville, Ill., Steve is a graduate of Bradley University and the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School’s Securities Industry Institute. He also earned an MBA from Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
Steve serves on the boards of Arizona State University Center for Services Leadership and Boys Hope Girls Hope International.
He and his wife, Jana, have three children and enjoy a variety of outdoor activities.
