Kevin Bastien is Edward Jones' chief financial officer, responsible for the Finance division, as well as Firm Strategy and Planning. He is a member of the firm’s Executive Committee, which provides critical thought and leads and drives initiatives that allow Edward Jones to progress toward its vision of becoming the first choice of serious, long-term individual investors. He also serves on the Edward Jones Audit Committee.
Kevin began his Edward Jones career in 1996 as a director in Finance and initially led the firm’s tax function and partnership capital areas. His responsibilities were later expanded to include overall finance support for International Operations and the Sourcing area, which negotiates all Edward Jones financial commitments.
Kevin was named an Edward Jones principal in 1998 and the firm’s chief financial officer in 2009.
In 2015, Kevin helped update the firm’s five-year strategic plan and was asked to lead Firm Strategy and Planning in addition to leading the Finance division.
Prior to joining Edward Jones, Kevin spent nearly nine years with Pricewaterhouse-Coopers (PwC), where he was a senior manager in the tax area, managing the overall Edward Jones relationship, as well as those with other large corporate clients.
Kevin graduated from Southern Illinois University (SIU) in Carbondale with bachelor’s and master’s degrees in accounting. He serves on the board of directors of SIU's School of Accountancy.
