St. Louis, MO – For the third time in a row, financial-services firm Edward Jones was named one of the PEOPLE’s "50 Companies That Care" by People Magazine and the Great Place to Work.
The third annual list will be featured in the August 3, 2019 issue of PEOPLE, which hits newsstands nationwide on Wednesday, July 24th. Edward Jones took the No. 11 spot on the list.
Rankings represent feedback from more than 4.5 million US employees. PEOPLE partnered with Great Place to Work, a global people analytics and consulting firm, to analyze employees’ survey feedback on how their workplaces make a difference in their lives and communities, and to consider the generosity of each organization's benefits, philanthropic and community support.
"Community involvement is such an important part of our history and culture," said Ken Cella, principal responsible for the Client Strategies Group. "It helps define who we are and it's great to have Edward Jones serve as a role model in what good corporate citizenship looks like. We have associates and leaders across North America that support countless organizations that provide support in our communities and to our families that we serve. We are making a difference in these organizations that serve our communities.
"The work we're doing with the Alzheimer's Association® is unprecedented for the firm," Cella added. "It aligns to our core values and connects our clients to resources that support our role as trusted advisors in local communities. Researchers are excited about the momentum in the field toward achieving methods of treatment and prevention for Alzheimer's. Edward Jones' support is helping make this possible."
Michael Bush, CEO of Great Place to Work, adds, "Leaders’ abilities to show up with genuine care and respect is at the core of any great workplace. Employees at this year’s 50 Companies That Care are exceptionally proud of the positive impact their organizations have on their people, communities and the wider world."
