Whether through local branch teams or from our home offices, we support the philanthropic efforts of our associates in communities across North America.
Charitable organizations large and small benefit from associates’ generous spirit of volunteerism. From walks, rides and drives to serving as Chamber of Commerce presidents, on local boards, event coordinators and members-at-large, we don’t just encourage giving back — we give people time to do it. Home-office associates are offered a paid Day of Caring annually to volunteer in their communities.

The firm invites associates to invest in local markets through workplace giving campaigns such as those offered by the United Way. The firm recently funded 42 days of service for St. Louis United Way member organizations by raising a record-breaking $6.36 million, including more than $3 million in contributions from Canada and St. Louis home-office associates and nearly $290,000 from local branch offices.
Often inspired by the passions of our associates, we work to increase awareness and marshal public support for a variety of local and national causes and organizations.
In 2016, Edward Jones entered into a strategic alliance with the Alzheimer’s Association, committing $12.5 million over five years to create the Edward Jones Alzheimer’s Research Fund and serve as the national presenting sponsor for the Walk to End Alzheimer’s®. We fight the disease because it destroys relationships and financial security — two things that matter most to our clients.
Conservation is part of our founder’s legacy, which inspires sustainable practices in our St. Louis, Tempe and Mississauga headquarters. It helps inform how we choose to do business.
In the 1980s, the late Ted and Pat Jones invested 2.2 million to turn a 225-mile stretch of abandoned railroad into Missouri’s magnificent Katy Trail State Park. We continue to honor this inspirational act with sustainability efforts at our headquarter locations in the U.S. and Canada — including composting to divert tens of thousands of pounds of organic waste from landfills and providing charging stations for electric cars.
