Edward Jones Ranks No. 6 on FORTUNE Magazine's Best Companies to Work For List

Financial-services firm makes list for 16th year

Financial-services firm Edward Jones ranked No. 6 on FORTUNE magazine's "100 Best Companies to Work For 2015" list in its 16th appearance on the prestigious list.

Edward Jones' 16 FORTUNE rankings also include top 10 finishes for 12 years, top 5 rankings for six years and consecutive No. 1 rankings in 2002 and 2003. Last year, the firm ranked No. 4 overall.

"What our 40,000 associates do each day matters," said Jim Weddle, Edward Jones managing partner. "We form deep relationships with our clients as we help them accomplish their life-long goals: We help them send their children to school, retire in comfort, or leave a legacy. That makes our work exceptionally meaningful. Across our firm, we are motivated by our opportunity to make a difference to our clients and our communities."

In the FORTUNE survey of Edward Jones associates, for which the ranking is predominantly based, 94 percent of associates say they have pride in the work they do. And 96 percent of associates say overall, Edward Jones is a great place to work.

"We are very proud of our associates," Weddle said. "Working together in partnership, we offer clients the trusted relationships, personalized guidance and exceptional service that together set us apart."

FORTUNE partners annually with Great Place to Work® to conduct the most extensive employee survey in corporate America to identify the 100 Best Companies to Work For ®. Two-thirds of a company's survey score is based on the results of the Trust Index © Employee Survey, which is sent to a random sample of employees from each company. This survey asks questions related to employees' attitudes about management's credibility, overall job satisfaction, and camaraderie. The other third is based on responses to the Culture Audit ©, which includes detailed questionnaires about pay and benefit programs and a series of open-ended questions about hiring practices, methods of internal communication, training, recognition programs and diversity efforts.

In addition to the FORTUNE honor, Edward Jones was ranked No. 1 on the People's Picks: 20 Great Workplaces in Financial Services list by the workplace review web site, Great Rated!

The ranking comes from an anonymous survey of Edward Jones associates and also was administered by the workplace culture experts at Great Place to Work. The full FORTUNE list and related stories appear in the March 9 issue of FORTUNE and now at
