Edward Jones and the Alzheimer's Association

older parent with daughter

At Edward Jones, we live and work in the communities we serve. We want to make a difference in people's lives, both in and out of the office. Many of us have witnessed the devastating effects of Alzheimer's disease firsthand. That's why we're proud to serve as National Presenting Sponsor of the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's®. We invite you to join us in the fight to end this terrible disease.

A rapidly growing epidemic

The impact of Alzheimer's disease is growing – and growing rapidly. This is true in terms the number of patients, caregivers and economic effect:

  • Alzheimer's disease is the 6th leading cause of death in the United States. Nearly 5.5 million Americans are living with Alzheimer's disease. According to the Alzheimer's Association, that could reach more than 16 million by 2050.
  • Today, more than 15 million Americans provide unpaid care for people with Alzheimer's and other dementias. More than 1/3 of caregivers report that their health has gotten worse due to care responsibilities.
  • In 2017, Alzheimer's and other dementias crossed a cost of care threshold in the U.S. of more than $250 billion. The Alzheimer's Association estimates that this cost could rise to $1.1 trillion by 2050, a significant strain to the nation's health care system.

That's why Edward Jones supports the Alzheimer's Association and its mission:

  • To eliminate Alzheimer's disease through the advancement of research
  • To provide and enhance care and support for all affected
  • To reduce the risk of dementia through the promotion of brain health

And, one way to get involved on a local and nationwide level is to join the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's®.
