Biography - Mike Rose

Mike Rose is the author of The Retirement Decision, which looks at the many challenges facing those who participate in 401(k) retirement plans.

Rose began his investment career by joining Kidder, Peabody in 1985. In 1990, he moved to Chicago where he was a Regional Vice President for Benetech, Inc., a national pension and 401(k) administration firm. In l996, Rose was named Director of Retirement Planning for Lord Abbett and Co. There, he took a small 401(k) department of only 12 plans and within nine years built it into an industry leading division of more than 10,000 business retirement clients. He was named partner at Lord Abbett in 2002. Mike has spent the better part of a professional lifetime working closely with companies that sponsor 401(k) plans and alongside the workers who participate in these unique retirement programs. He retired in 2004.

He received a Bachelor of Arts from Asbury College in Wilmore Kentucky and a Master of Divinity from Duke University.
