Art V. Russell, CFA
Principal, Equity Research
Art Russell began his Edward Jones career in 1993 in the Product
Review department, performing due diligence on portfolio managers
for the firm’s managed account program. He joined the Equity
Research department in 1996 to help expand coverage of the
technology sector. He currently serves as industry team leader for
the technology, media and telecommunications (TMT) and
energy/utility teams, responsible for eight analysts in this
capacity. Russell also follows 13 companies in the communications
equipment and international telecommunications industries.
Russell earned a bachelor’s degree in managerial economics from
the University of California at Davis and a master’s in business
administration from Washington University in St. Louis. He holds
the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and is a member of the
CFA Institute and the CFA Society of St. Louis. He became a
principal with the firm in 2001.
Russell has been quoted in such major publications as Fortune, Forbes, Investor’s Business Daily, USA Today and the New York Times, and he has been featured on ABC’s “World News Tonight,” CNBC, CNN, Fox News, “The CBS Morning News” and the PBS “Nightly Business Report.” In 2002, The Wall Street Journal named Russell one of the “Best on the Street” analysts following the computer hardware segment of technology.
