Dan Ortwerth joined Edward Jones' Research department in 2004 as research analyst covering basic materials and transportation.

A Chartered Financial Analyst, Ortwerth previously worked in research for A.G. Edwards. Prior to that, he served as a C-130 pilot in the U.S. Air Force.

Ortwerth, a native of St. Louis, graduated from the Air Force Academy in 1991 and earned an MBA from Washington University in 2000.
