Paul Franzen, CFA
Senior Utilities Analyst

Paul Franzen began his career with Edward Jones in 1999. As a participant in the Associate Career Training Program, Franzen worked in the Research, Mutual Funds Marketing, OTC Trading and Customer Segments departments during his first year with the firm.

In 2000, he joined the Research department and is currently responsible for companies in the utilities industry. In this role, Franzen forecasts business, industry and economic conditions in order to make investment recommendations. He meets frequently with senior management of the companies he follows and also educates the firm's financial advisors and clients on investments in the utilities sector.

Franzen graduated cum laude with a bachelor's degree in finance from Kansas State University in 1999. He earned his Chartered Financial Analyst designation in 2002. Franzen also is a member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society of St. Louis. In 2008, Franzen was named one of the "Best Brokerage Analysts" by Forbes magazine.
