The Long-term Relationship
We've built our firm on a long-term proposition. Our investment philosophy is based on buying and holding quality investments for as long as possible to help reduce risk and maximize the potential for the highest possible return. So, the fact that we build solid relationships that last a lifetime shouldn't come as much of a surprise to you.
At Edward Jones, you can meet with your financial advisor at any time to assess changes in your life, to adjust contribution amounts or to change fund allocations. We believe you should be able to discuss your account at any time and for any reason.
If there have been no changes in your life, you may still benefit from an annual portfolio review just to make sure that you are on track to reach your goals, and to answer any questions you may have. Your financial advisor will ask you a range of questions designed to double-check that your plan is still right for you, including:
- Has your household experienced any significant changes over the past year?
- Do you foresee any changes in the next year? (i.e., new house, new child, etc.)
- Have you made any large, substantial purchases in the last year? (i.e., boat, vacation home, etc.)
- Do you plan to make a large purchase in the next year?
- Has your tolerance for investment risk changed?
- Has your household experienced an increase/decrease in salary or income?
- Are you thinking of buying property as an investment or for personal use?
- Have your retirement plans changed?
